Remarks

Apart from this having one of my favourite punchlines of any of my cartoons, there is little to say about this one other than it gives the first mention of Sarge's superior officer, the Major. It also sets up a running gag that gets recycled in BC9 and 10.

Transcript

(1) SARGE: You know, men, I understand why you find Grenade throwing difficult...
(2) SARGE: (looks at the targets) I had similar problems when I was a raw recruit...
(3) SARGE: Like you, I would bemoan the fact that you could only set the timer in one second increments.
(4) They start squirming off to the left.
SARGE: Like you, I would be confused by the bounce.
(5) They reach a rather battered-looking car.
SARGE: And yes, sometimes I would hit the Major's car.
(6) SARGE: The problem is...
(7) Pans out to show distance between car and targets
SARGE: ... when I was a recruit, the Major parked his car a lot closer to the targets...
