QBasic Downloads

When I was a bit younger, my programming language of preference was QBasic. Of course, I'm a HTML fan now. But I thought I might as well share some of my better creations - the créme de la créme of my programming, if you like.

Anyone with Windows '95 will have QBasic on their W95 CD-ROM, and I assume that people with W98 and ME will as well. Well, I hope so, anyway...

These files are zipped, so you'll also need WinZip to open them. You can download it from http://www.winzip.com (What an original name). Each game comes with its own readme file, including such luvverly things as instructions, hints, credits and the ubiquitous disclaimer notice. None of the zipped files are bigger than 4KB, so downloading should be reasonably short.

These games are totally free - no fees, no copyright, no nothing. But if you do give them to someone else, it'd be a nice gesture to tell them about my site. And one last thing: stick Caps Lock on while you play. It'll make your life a lot easier.

DOWNLOADING INSTRUCTIONS (You may like to print or copy these)

  1. When the download thing comes up, choose Save File to Disk.
  2. Once you've saved it, go into WinZip and unzip it.
  3. Insert the W95 CD.
  4. Open Windows Explorer.
  5. Go into D: (or whatever your CD drive's called), then Other, then Oldmsdos.
  6. Open Qbasic the application (rather than the help file).
  7. Once in QBasic, click File, then Open.
  8. Find the directory you saved the game in.
  9. Open the file.
  10. Press F5 to run it.
Anyway: here they all are...

Games Factory Downloads

Here's a new section for Games Factory games. You don't need the Games Factory to run them - they're .exe files. Fist you've got to unzip them, then install them on your machine.

They're a bit big, but that's life unfortunately.
